Plaza Mayor

The apartment is very big and very comfortable for 6 people! It is also very well-located, on the plaza Mayor, close to everything! Rocio is fantastic, very friendly, answered to all messages before our arrival and was there on time to receive us. Highly recommended place and highly recommended host!! If we are ever back in Madrid this place will be our first choice!

Rocio's apartment on Plaza Mayor was absolutely wonderful. Lots of space and very comfortable for our family of four. The location was fantastic and right at the center of all you'd want to see in Historic Madrid. Rocio was very easy to work with and made key pickup very smooth. Would highly recommend!!

Acabamos de regresar de nuestro viaje a Madrid y nuestra estancia en el apartamento de Plaza Mayor fue estupenda. Como ya lo han descripto otros huespedes, la ubicación es inmejorable, en pleno corazón de Madrid y las grandes atracciones de la ciudad están muy cerquita y se puede llegar a pie. El departamento en si mismo es elegante, con techos altos y piso de parquet. A pesar de estar en un edificio histórico está totalmente remodelado con el comfort de la vida moderna y está equipado con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días en total comodidad. Cada mañana desayunábamos en el apartamento con bollería (facturas) de La Mallorquina. Rocío es una excelente anfitriona, nos estuvo esperando puntualmente a la llegada y nos asistió con el translado de regreso a la partida. Excelente opción para nuestra estadía en Madrid

The apartment was very roomy. Two bathroom apartments are very difficult to find in the city centre. Though the apartment sleeps 6, we were a group of 4. On vacation we are all trying to get ready to go out at the same time. Two bathrooms is a must. Location was excellent. We especially enjoyed walking over to the market to sample the food and drinks!

Location:This apartment is perfectly situated for access to the major sites and transport hubs of Madrid. We walked to the Prado.(20-30 minutes easy walking), the train station, the Reina-Sofia etc, you can get a taxi 30 yards from the apartment (even on Christmas day!). Easy access to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, Mercado San Miguel etc.
Apartment: The apartment itself is large and airy. The kitchen is small by american standards, but perfectly serviceable. Stove, dishwasher, fridge, storage cabinets all worked well. Bathrooms are good size and were very clean on our visit. Master bedroom was a good size, as was en suite bathroom. Can be closed off from living area for privacy. Second bedroom was a little small for 2 beds. Perfect for 1 bed. Common living area is a very large - open dining/living room easily accommodated dining table with 6 chairs, plus 2 sofas. We (4 adults) spent several evenings in the living area and were very comfortable.
Access: The apartment is on the third floor and is quiet even when the Plaza Mayor is packed with revelers. It can be reached by stairs or by tiny elevator. Management. The owner, Rocio, was very responsive and pleasant. Booking was straightforward, and she was on time to let us in on arrival and let us out on departure. We would definitely stay there again.

Miesposa y yo hemos estado solos, o con nuestros hijos, en tres de losapartamentos de Casas Madrid, concretamente, en el “Santa Ana” en la plaza con el mismo nombre, en el “Calatrava” en la Latina y en el “Plaza Mayor” en la propia plaza. Los tres apartamentos tienen el común denominador de que son amplios, cómodos y modernos; están muy limpios y bien montados; y su situación es buenísima. La página web de Casas Madrid refleja la realidad de losapartamentos, o sea que no hay sorpresas desagradables. El servicio prestado por Casas Madrid es excelente, inmejorable; entre otras razones, por la simpatía y porque lo esperan a uno en el apartamento, donde se realiza el pago. Recomiendo ampliamente los tres apartamentos mencionados y organizar las vacaciones en la capital de España con Casas Madrid

This apartment is lovely. It is located right in the historic Plaza Mayor but despite it's location in such a busy place it is lovely and quiet. The main bedroom is a good size with a bathroom en suite. The living room /dining room is very spacious and comfortable and has the added advantage of a double sofa bed. The kitchen is small but very well equipped. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby and there is a tourist office in the Plaza Mayor only a short distance from the apartment. The Metro station is just a short walk away. The CasasMadrid staff are courteous and friendly and they speak English very well. All in all, this is great apartment in a great location and it is great value for money

We very much enjoyed our stay last month (March) at your lovely apartment in Madrid - Plaza Mayor. The apartment was appointed perfectly for our needs. The fact that you made the effort to have someone meet us there (with the extra pillows we'd requested, no less!) when we arrived earlier than expected was very much appreciated and a sign of true professionalism. We also enjoyed that the kitchen was fully stocked with all that we would need to cook with, and even came with a lovely selection of teas and condiments for our enjoyment. Also, it was great to have you show us how to set up the television so that we could watch programs in either English or Spanish. The location of this apartment absolutely could not have been better! We were within a short walking distance of all of the major attractions and very close to some great restaurants and entertainment spots, as well. Not to mention being RIGHT on the historic Plaza Mayor square! If we are ever privileged to return to again to Madrid we would love to stay at this property once more! Thank you once again for allowing us to rent this lovely apartment and also for your kindness in helping us out - and also in communicating with the taxi services for us regarding our pickup when we returned to the airport at the end of our stay

The apartment is very well located and having easy and very close access to public transport systems and also to a tourist office. It is well equipped with all the possible household things. Within close proximity many eateries and restaurants are they are having various cuisines. Though the apartment is in the center of a very busy location, it is very quiet and peaceful and no outside disturbance or noise. Service was very nice and prompt. Just that one bedroom for the single person was a little small, but the same compensates with a sofa cum bed for two persons in the drawing room and also the shower place is small. Overall I would recommend this apartment.
